The Department of Higher Education, UT Ladakh is organizing a contest "Sustainable Campus Challenge" for the students of the University of Ladakh and constituent Colleges, Polytechnic Colleges, CIBS, and ITIS to promote sustainability on campus covering topics viz Energy Conservation, Waste Reduction, Sustainable Transportation, Sustainable Food, Water Conservation & Biodiversity preservation.

First Prize: Rs 15,000/-
Second Prize: Rs 10,000/-
Third Prize: Rs 5,000/-
Read the Terms and Conditions
1. The contest is open to students of the University of Ladakh, constituent Colleges, Polytechnic Colleges, CIBS, and ITIs.
2. Participants can submit their entries either as individuals or as a team (up to 4 members per team).
3. The proposal should focus on promoting sustainability on the campus. This can include areas such as energy and water conservation, waste reduction and recycling, sustainable transportation, green buildings, and sustainable food systems.
4. The proposal should be original and not previously published or submitted for any other contests or competitions.
5. The proposal should be feasible and practical to implement on campus. Participants should consider the availability of resources and the potential challenges that may arise during the implementation.
6. The proposal should have a significant impact on promoting sustainability on the campus. Participants should consider the potential benefits to the environment, the campus community, and future generations.
7. The proposal should include estimated costs for implementing the proposed solution with a breakup of the proposed components/activities. Participants should consider the funding sources that are available on campus.
8. All proposals should be submitted by 15th April. Late submissions will not be accepted.
9. All entries will be judged based on the criteria outlined in the contest guidelines.
10. Cash Prizes of Rs 15,000 (1st), Rs 10,000 (2nd), and Rs 5000 (3rd), to be handed out during the Y20 Pre-Summit Inaugural Session on 26th April 2023.
11. The winners will have the opportunity to implement their proposals on campus with the support of the College Administration and other relevant departments.
